History

1964 - The beginnings

“SOciété Générale d’Impression TEChnique” (SOGITEC) is established in 1964 and quickly develops as a pioneering company in computer-assisted publishing. It is already active in Technical Publications.

1977 - Moving towards simulation

The Simulation Division starts in 1977. In 1980, the company is awarded a contract for Mirage F1 simulators, marking the debut of synthetic image generation at Sogitec with “GI1000” IG.

1984 - A Dassault Aviation Company

In 1984, Sogitec is bought out by its main customer, aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation. In the mid-1980’s, the company is among the few making fully-digitized TV ads and movies worldwide.

2003 - The "Cots" Era

As COTS-available components have greatly increased in performance and decreased in costs, Apogée™ image generation sets the standard for synthetic imagery of the 21st century.

2014 - 50 years and counting

Rafale Simulation Centers, NH90 Training Media, Apogée™ 8, Sindbad™, FIELD™ Touch, Boosters™,… With technologically advanced products and services, Sogitec still paves the way to excellence.
