1964 - The beginnings
“SOciété Générale d’Impression TEChnique” (SOGITEC) is established in 1964 and quickly develops as a pioneering company in computer-assisted publishing. It is already active in Technical Publications.
1977 - Moving towards simulation
The Simulation Division starts in 1977. In 1980, the company is awarded a contract for Mirage F1 simulators, marking the debut of synthetic image generation at Sogitec with “GI1000” IG.
1984 - A Dassault Aviation Company
In 1984, Sogitec is bought out by its main customer, aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation. In the mid-1980’s, the company is among the few making fully-digitized TV ads and movies worldwide.
